Day 1 - Meet Istanbul

Touchdown in Turkey! We'll meet you at Istanbul airport and take you to your hotel.The remainder of the afternoon the day is at your leisure offers free time for you to relax or explore Istanbul. At 8 pm, we'll gather in the hotel to meet our fellow travellers and the guide before our adventure begins.
Day 2 - Sightseeing in the city

Today after breakfast, We meet with all our tour group members in the hotel lobby, as well as our guide. We'll explore the sights of Istanbul.
The Bosphorus stretches out in front of the old city known as Sultanahmet and is the strait of water that divides the continents of Europe and Asia, both of which the city of Istanbul straddles. Touring the heart of the Old City from where the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires were ruled, we’ll view some amazing sights
We will discover the awe-inspiring Blue Mosque, renowned for its stunning blue Iznik tiles and six majestic minarets, then stroll through the historic Hippodrome, now a charming park that once buzzed with chariot races. Admire the impressive exterior of the Hagia Sophia, a 6th-century basilica commissioned by Emperor Justinian. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of Topkapi Palace, exploring its opulent grounds and fascinating museums. The evening is yours to either dive into the vibrant local scene or unwind at our hotel.
Please Note: Starting January 2024, the lower floor of Hagia Sophia will be exclusively open to Muslims for prayer, while the upper floor galleries will be dedicated to touristic purposes with a newly imposed entrance fee. If you wish to explore the interior, you may havethe opportunity during your free time in Istanbul.
Day 3 - ANZAC Cove and battlefields

Istanbul - Gallipoli. Once a theatre of fierce conflict, the Gallipoli battlefields now stand as a poignant tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of World War I. Today, we’ll embark on a powerful guided tour, where our expert will bring the gripping history of this iconic region to life.
We’ll explore the hallowed grounds of ANZAC Cove, the Lone Pine Australian War Memorial, and Chunuk Bair New Zealand War Memorial, as well as the resilient trenches where soldiers once braved the frontline.
Our journey continues with a spectacular ferry ride across the Dardanelles, offering sweeping panoramic views of the Gallipoli Peninsula. Arriving at our hotel in Canakkale, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to unwind by the water’s edge and reflect on the day's profound experiences.
Day 4 - The Trojan Horse and ancient ruins

Gallipoli - Kusadasi/Izmir. This morning, we delve into the legendary city of Troy! If you’ve seen the film Troy or read Homer’s epic The Iliad, you’ll recognise the dramatic tales of Paris, his beloved Helen, Hector, and the Greek heroes Agamemnon and Achilles. Rediscovered in 1863, Troy revealed itself as a layered archaeological marvel with nine ancient cities built one on top of the other, stretching back to 3000 BC. We'll tour the evocative ruins and marvel at the replica of the iconic Trojan Horse, famously filled with Greek soldiers who, according to legend, helped bring down the city.
Our adventure continues as we drive south to the ancient ruins of Pergamum. Here, we’ll be guided through one of the classical world’s most dramatic amphitheatres, perched steeply on a hillside. Pergamum was also renowned for its asclepion, an ancient medical centre, and its impressive Library, which was said to rival the famed library of Alexandria. After exploring these historic treasures, we’ll proceed to our overnight destination, either Kusadasi or Izmir. Please note that our hotel location may vary between Kusadasi and Izmir.

Kusadasi/Izmir - Sirince. Today, we step back into history as we explore the magnificent Roman ruins of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved classical cities in the eastern Mediterranean. As we roam the ancient streets of this once-thriving metropolis, we'll be awed by the grandeur of a city that, at its peak, boasted a population of nearly 250,000 and served as the Roman capital of Asia Minor.
Ephesus was renowned for its prosperity, driven by bustling commerce and pilgrims visiting the famed Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We’ll marvel at the expertly restored landmarks, including the Great Theatre, Curetes Way, the Temple of Serapis, and the impressive Library of Celsus. Don’t miss the ancient public toilets and brothel, which offer a fascinating glimpse into daily life.
Following our journey through Ephesus, we’ll witness a traditional carpet weaving demonstration, immersing ourselves in an age-old Turkish craft. Our day concludes with a visit to Sirince, a charming Greek village nestled on a mountainside amidst a picturesque valley of vineyards and orchards. After soaking in the beauty and culture of Sirince, we’ll return to Kusadasi or Izmir for the evening.
Day 6 - Hot springs of Pamukkale

Kusadasi/Izmir – Pamukkale. As we journey through the sprawling plains and endless cotton farms, we'll reach the awe-inspiring ruins of Roman Hierapolis and the enchanting hot springs of Pamukkale.
This surreal landscape, often referred to as the 'Cotton Castles,' was sculpted by frequent earthquakes in the fault depression of the Menderes River basin. We’ll be captivated by the gleaming white cliffs, crystalline marble, and sparkling quartz formations that shimmer in the sunlight.
Take a leisurely stroll along the terraces or dip your toes in the warm, mineral-rich waters. For an extra treat, you can opt to relax in the Thermal Bath House, soaking in the soothing waters. Our visit will also include a stop at a local leather manufacturing house, offering a glimpse into another facet of Turkish craftsmanship.
Day 7 - Turtle Beach and Turquoise Coast

Pamukkale - Koycegiz - Fethiye. Arriving at the picturesque lakeside town of Koycegiz, we’ll embark on a delightful boat cruise to the pristine Turtle Beach.
Here, you can indulge in a unique experience by immersing yourself in the rejuvenating mud baths, renowned for their skin-softening properties. After this refreshing stop, we’ll continue our journey to Fethiye, a charming port town nestled along Turkey's breathtaking Turquoise Coast. Surrounded by the dramatic Taurus Mountains, Fethiye promises to be our base for the next two nights, offering a perfect blend of coastal beauty and tranquil relaxation.
Day 8 - Kayakoy & Oludeniz

Fethiye - Kayakoy - Oludeniz - Fethiye. Today begins after breakfast with a visit to the enchanting Greek village of Kayakoy, where we'll wander through its charming streets and explore its historical allure. In the afternoon, we’ll journey to the stunning coastal gem of Oludeniz, renowned for its breathtaking scenery and the stunning Blue Lagoon. Here, you'll have the chance to dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim in one of Turkey’s most picturesque settings.
Afterwards, we’ll return to our hotel in Fethiye, where you can relax and unwind. For those seeking an extra special experience, an optional sunset cruise with dinner is available. This exclusive excursion promises a magical evening, complete with stunning views of the sun setting over the tranquil waters, making for an unforgettable end to your day.

Fethiye - Antalya.This morning after breakfast, we set off on a picturesque drive to Antalya, a city celebrated for its stunning coastal vistas and deep historical roots. Our first stop is the Old Town, a delightful maze of narrow streets and charming architecture where you’ll have ample time to wander and soak in the atmosphere. Among its historic treasures, you'll encounter the Hadrian Gate, an impressive ancient monument that offers a glimpse into the city's rich past.
Next, we’ll head to the enchanting Duden Waterfalls in Lara, where you can marvel at the breathtaking natural beauty and listen to the soothing sound of cascading waters. The falls create a serene backdrop, perfect for relaxation and photos.
As the sun sets and the day winds down, we’ll settle in for a restful overnight stay in Antalya, allowing you to unwind and reflect on the day's memorable experiences.

Antalya - Cappadocia. After breakfast, we’ll start our day with an early departure for Konya, but not before making an unforgettable visit to the ancient theatre of Aspendos. Known for its remarkable preservation, this theatre stands as one of the finest examples of Roman architecture and engineering, offering a vivid window into the grandeur of the past.
Upon arriving in Konya, we’ll immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region with a tour of the Mevlana Monastery, where the whirling dervishes practice their mystical dance. This is a captivating glimpse into a unique spiritual tradition. We’ll also visit the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, whose philosophical and poetic legacy has profoundly influenced Turkish culture.
Continuing along the historic Silk Road, we’ll stop at a stunning Seljuk caravanserai, an ancient roadside inn that once provided refuge for traders and travellers. This enchanting example of medieval architecture will transport us back in time, enriching our journey with its historical charm and significance.

Today, we’ll embark on an awe-inspiring journey through the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, a region that seems almost otherworldly. Prepare to be amazed as we explore prehistoric troglodyte villages, ancient subterranean churches, and fascinating fortresses hewn from the region’s unique, soft rock formations.
Our expert guide will lead us through the World Heritage-listed Göreme Valley, where we’ll marvel at the intricate rock-cut Byzantine churches and chapels. We’ll delve into the depths of the Kaymakli Underground City and ascend to the panoramic vistas of Uchisar Castle, offering breathtaking views of the region’s extraordinary terrain.
On the outskirts of Goreme Village, we’ll stop at Pigeon Valley, where centuries-old pigeon houses are carved into the cliffs. The pigeon droppings from these houses have been used as valuable fertilizer for generations. Here, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit a charming Onyx shop, featuring historic Turkish jewellery crafted from local materials by skilled artisans. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, you can unwind with a drink at a nearby café.
As the evening approaches, immerse yourself further into this enchanting region with an optional Turkish dinner and folklore evening, where you can savour traditional cuisine and enjoy vibrant cultural performances.
Day 12 - Cappadocia & Safranbolu

This morning, you have the thrilling option to soar above the surreal landscape of Cappadocia with an early hot air balloon flight. As you drift gently over this otherworldly terrain, you'll experience a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of ancient villages, rock-hewn fortresses, and the region’s unique lunar topography.
Afterwards, we’ll journey to Safranbolu, a charming World Heritage-listed town renowned for its exquisite Ottoman architecture. Wander through its picturesque cobbled streets and marvel at the beautifully preserved Ottoman homes that once housed royalty and artisans. Discover the intricate craftsmanship in traditional Turkish wares at local workshops.
As evening falls, we’ll retreat to a traditional Ottoman mansion, where you can soak in the historic ambiance and experience a night in a beautifully restored residence that reflects the grandeur of the past. Please note that the hot air balloon flight is dependent on weather conditions. Alternatively, you can travel by flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul and spend the night at leisure in Istanbul.

Safranbolu - Istanbul. This morning, we’ll dive into the rich history of the Old Town with an engaging walking tour, where you’ll uncover hidden gems and local stories. After our exploration, we'll make our way back to Istanbul, where you’ll be whisked off to the vibrant Grand Bazaar. Here, you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of one of Turkey's most iconic markets, where a maze of colourful stalls beckons with everything from intricate textiles to exotic spices.

Today we say goodbye to our new friends and our tour concludes after breakfast. Complimentary departure transfers are offered to Istanbul International Airport at 9am and 1pm.
