We'll enjoy dinner around the campfire tonight before we head into the park tomorrow.

Tour Reviews
In some respects, exceeded my expectations. Also, though I knew from the itinerary about the driving distances and time to drive between destinations, I didn't realize that I would spend so much time in the truck vs. at the destinations - then dinner, breakfast and off we go again (not a complaint - hindsight experience). The driver has a separate cab and cannot easily communicate with us; the other guide was basically the cook and provided daily instructions, but he was not familiar with South Africa. So between the two of them, we did not receive very much commentary on what we were seeing along the way. I had a guide book, and we got local information from guides who led our tours, but would have liked some "guide-speak" as with most tours - even cruises - which make an effort to round out the travel experience with a little history and comments on what we're seeing. E.g., in Port Elizabeth, as we were driving away, the driver yelled back at us and pointed out the boats in the harbor fished for calamari at night with lights. So enlightening!! The driver was the most knowledgeable and had valuable comments when I asked questions. His driving and helpfulness overall was a very big job on the tour. A++ - exceedingly competent. He went out of his way to do special things that made the trip exceptional in many ways.
