Itinerary
Day 1 - Butterfly Valley, Oludeniz & St. Nicholas Island
Day 1 - Butterfly Valley, Oludeniz & St. Nicholas Island
Fethiye - Butterfly Valley - Oludeniz (Blue lagoon) - St. Nicholas Island. Check in is at the Fethiye Harbour office at 09:30 am - we recommend arriving in Fethiye the day before your cruise starts. We’ll board the gulet at 10:30 am and begin our adventure.
Our first stop is Butterfly Valley, a natural paradise where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean Sea, grab a drink at one of the beach front bars or take a leisurely hike to a nearby waterfall, surrounded by numerous species of moths and butterflies.
Afterward, we’ll gather on the gulet for lunch, before setting sail for Oludeniz and the Blue Lagoon. Here you can opt to paraglide from Babadag Mountain for an exhilarating 2,000-metre-high view of Oludeniz Beach and the Blue Lagoon, don’t forget your camera for aerial shots! For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, you can simply enjoy the natural beauty and stunning views.
As the day winds down, we’ll anchor near St. Nicholas Island, where you can explore ancient ruins, learn about the island’s history, and capture beautiful photos. We’ll make sure everyone has the chance to enjoy a breathtaking sunset, creating a magical atmosphere for all.
Day 2 - Hidayet Bay, Kas & Cooking Class
Day 2 - Hidayet Bay, Kas & Cooking Class
St. Nicholas Island - Hidayet Bay - Kas. At the break of dawn, our crew will guide the gulet along the coast past Patara, arriving at Hidayet Bay for breakfast. Later, you’ll have the opportunity to dip into the calm waters before we continue on to Kas, a picturesque fishing village known for its artisan shops and ancient theatre. You’ll have free time to wander through Kas’s lively markets.
Later, you can choose to have lunch in Kas before heading back to the gulet for a special cooking class in the afternoon. We’ll learn to prepare traditional Turkish cheese rolls and pancakes, then enjoy a brunch featuring our freshly made dishes. In the late afternoon, we’ll sail to a serene bay between Kas and Kekova, where we’ll anchor for the night.
Day 3 - Sunken City & Simena Castle
Day 3 - Sunken City & Simena Castle
Kekova Island - Simena Island - Gokkaya Bay. Our journey today begins with a visit to the enchanting Sunken City of Kekova, an ancient settlement submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century AD. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sunken City offers a captivating insight into history while we cruise along its edges. While swimming and snorkelling are not allowed, the view from the gulet is a stunning way to take in this incredible archaeological site. Don’t forget to bring binoculars for a closer view of the submerged ruins!
In the afternoon, we’ll anchor near Kekova Island, giving you the chance to explore the historic Simena Castle. Make your way to the top for panoramic views of the bay and the surrounding area, and be sure to treat yourself to the famous homemade ice cream from local vendors at the castle, perfect after the hike. We’ll then anchor for the night at Gokkaya Bay.
As night falls, prepare for a night out at Smuggler’s Inn, a lively bar accessible only by boat. This one-of-a-kind venue invites you to dance beneath the stars, mingle with fellow travellers, and enjoy a few drinks in a picturesque setting.
Day 4 - Turtle Beach & Demre
Day 4 - Turtle Beach & Demre
Gokkaya Bay - Turtle Beach - Demre. After breakfast, we’ll head to Turtle Beach, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim alongside several species of gentle sea turtles in their natural Mediterranean habitat. Rare loggerhead turtles are just one of the species that return to the beaches where they were born along Turkey's Mediterranean Coast, in order to lay their own eggs. Make sure to keep a respectful distance from any turtles you encounter.
Following this amazing encounter, we’ll continue our journey to Demre Harbour, arriving around 09:30. Our tour comes to an end after disembarkation. A complimentary shuttle is offered to Olympos, for those who require it.
