Trips and Tours to Manuel Antonio NP
About Manuel Antonio NP
Despite being one of Costa Rica's smallest national parks, Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio is one of the country's most popular and it's not difficult to understand why. Idyllic tropical beaches are backed by lush rainforest with pristine waters stretching out to paradise in the form of untouched outer islands. As well as beaches and forest, the park also preserves mangroves and is one of the few remaining natural habitats of the squirrel monkey. Manuel Antonio is also brimming with birdlife from kingfishers to falcons and it's not uncommon to spot smaller mammals such as coati and sloth. Large iguanas are a regular feature near the beaches and make good photographic models as they stand stock-still and bask in the sun.

A small system of short trails makes exploring the coast, as well as inland regions of the park, easy and enjoyable with hikers rewarded with pretty waterfalls, stunning viewpoints and the unique tombolo (a natural land bridge) formation of Punta Catedral.
