Tip for your tour guide - we recommend you allow USD$8 per day, per traveller for your guide, though ultimately tipping is an entirely personal gesture
Entrance Fees: USD$100-120pp, paid in local currency
Tipping Kitty: USD$60-80pp, paid in local currency
Tipping is not a natural part of many Western cultures and many of us feel uncomfortable, or unsure, about when, or how much, to tip. However, in the places you will visit, tipping makes up a significant part of many people's wages so it's important that we get it right. For this reason we've developed a very simple system to take all the hassle out of tipping. With our 'tipping made easy' policy, a nominal pre-determined amount is collected from all group tour participants to cover tips en route. This then saves you the hassle of when and how much to tip bellhops, luggage handlers, local guides and other support staff through the tour. Our 'tipping made easy' doesn't include a tip to your group tour leader. Naturally, though, the amount is up to you as tipping is an entirely personal gesture.

Tour Reviews

Busy schedule. But we'll planned and lead by an excellent guide. One real down point was the sleeper train.i understand the problem is at Egypt rail. Perhaps alternative travel could be arranged. This may present logistic problems, but the present train "experience" is almost unworkable

We had a great time and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and everything ran smoothly! We did leave the tour a couple days earlier as our travel agent in Australia had not informed us of the tour change ! The only change I would have done is the overnight train as the standard was not high.

The tour was wonderful. Every aspect of it was well planned and the guides were excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Had a fantastic time and couldn’t have asked for a better guide - Alam was brilliant! The organisation was great. Loved the itinerary flex that allowed us to get the max out of our experience. Alam was really knowledgable, looked after us really and as it turns out, a great dancer too!

Our guide Alam was great, knowledgeable, good humoured, involved and an all-round great guide. Walking old town tour price for a taxi & walk per person I thought excessive, as was drinks & WiFi on the boat. Other than that, great tour, informative, and safe experience.
