Business Development Manager - Part Time, Wellington, New Zealand
On The Go Tours is an award-winning travel company providing unforgettable tours and private holidays to clients around the world. From Egypt to Ecuador, India to Iceland, we love helping our clients see the world. We have an exciting contractor role starting in January 2025 for a motivated and experienced salesperson who will be tasked with looking after the Wellington and lower North Island region. Max of 16 hours per week.
Reporting to the New Zealand Sales Manager and Global Sales Director you are an integral member of a highly successful team of BDMs. Key to your success will be working on developing your agent network which is vital to our growth strategy.
By nurturing and developing agent relationships, you will grow your territory through effective product training and sales calls. You will work closely with maintaining our preferred agent relationships whilst also supporting the head office strategy for developing new agency partnerships, whilst aligning with our brand values.

Core Responsibilities and Day to Day Activities:
- Delivery of online and face to face trainings to our B2B Agent network
- Shop visits for general updates and sales training (as per KPIs)
- Increasing sales (as per targets)
- Strict adherence to expenses policy and budgets
- Production of training collateral as required
- Attendance of functions and events as required
- Weekly activity reporting to the New Zealand Sales Manager
- Attendance at Monthly BDM calls
- Promote AD travel on OTG Signature Tours
- Maintain awareness of competitor products, tactics and pricing and channel information back to your manager
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment that delivers results
- Support and collaboration with both your immediate team of BDMs and the wider business
Person Specification:
- Passion for travel and MUST have travelled to some of our destinations
- Experience working with travel agents, specifically in the leisure sector
- A proven sales travel record
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Competitive pay, $40 NZD per hour
