We will journey west from Reykjavik along the coastline of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Our first stop will be Borgarnes, known for its Viking history. Our next stop is the fishing village of Arnarstapi, where we’ll explore the area. Onwards to the stunning Djupalonssandur Beach known for its black sand. We’ll take a short hike along the pebble-strewn shore, explore shipwreck remnants, and try lifting stones to test our strength like the old fishermen. If travelling in winter (September - March) keep your eyes peeled for the Northern Lights from our rural accommodation in Hellissandur.
Please note: This tour is modular, meaning it is made up of separate excursions and activities. You will have different guides and will be joined by different groups for each section of the itinerary. All of the tour inclusions remain the same.
