Day 1 Welcome to the Costa Brava

You will mostly likely arrive at Barcelona's Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. From here, make your way to our hotel on the Costa Brava, located just outside Barcelona. In the evening, join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Costa Brava - Barcelona - Costa Brava. Today after breakfast, we explore the vibrant Catalan capital, Barcelona, for the day. We will kick off our adventure with a panoramic coach tour of this cosmopolitan city, taking in sights such as the Barceloneta neighbourhood, Montjuic mountain, the Olympic Stadium, and Plaza d'Espanya.
In the afternoon, we will head to the city centre, where you’ll have some free time for lunch. Afterwards, we’ll delve deeper into Barcelona with a guided tour of the central Gothic Quarter, renowned for its winding stone streets, as well as the famous Las Ramblas boulevard.
Day 3 Girona & Figueres

Costa Brava - Girona - Figueres - Costa Brava. This morning, we discover Girona, where we will enjoy a walking tour through the town’s beautifully preserved Jewish Quarter, leading us to the Santa Maria Cathedral, an outstanding example of Gothic Catalan architecture. We will conclude our visit in the town’s main plaza, where you will have some free time to explore more of this medieval city.
Next, we’ll learn about the famous figures of Catalonia in the town of Figueres, where we will visit the Dali Museum. Salvador Dali was born in Figueres and is widely regarded as one of the most influential surrealist artists of his time. This museum, which showcased the young Dali’s first exhibitions, now displays the largest and most diverse collection of his works, including his paintings, films, sculptures, and photography. We return to our hotel along the Costa Brava for the evening.

You will have today to relax and savour the charms of the Costa Brava. Our local tour leader will be happy to suggest activities and recommend must-see highlights. Why not take a stroll along the seaside promenade or unwind by the hotel pool. Alternatively, you could enjoy a glass of Sangria or a spot of tapas outdoors in the Spanish sunshine.
Day 5 Exploring Montserrat & Cava
Day 5 Exploring Montserrat & Cava
Costa Brava - Montserrat - Penedes Region - Costa Brava. We continue to explore and uncover the beauty of Catalonia today. Our day begins with a visit to the mountaintop location of Montserrat, home to the stunning Benedictine Abbey of Santa Maria de Montserrat. Our expert local guide will take us on a cable car ride to the abbey and explain the significance of this religious and historic site.
You will then have the freedom to explore the abbey or the on-site museum, or perhaps take a funicular to the highest point of the mountain range, where you can admire spectacular views of Barcelona and the coast.
After a morning of discovery in Montserrat, we will continue our journey to the wine region of Penedes. Let’s enjoy a tour of the Freixanet winery and cellars, followed by a tasting of their famous sparkling Cava wine. After a glass or two of the region's finest, we make our way back to Barcelona for the night.

Costa Brava - Barcelona - Costa Brava. Today you will have free time in Barcelona, starting with an included transfer into the city centre. You can spend the day exploring at your own pace. You might like to revisit some of the places we saw during our city tour, or you can visit La Sagrada Familia to admire its intricate outdoor decoration and stunning open interior.
Another option is to take the cable car to the top of Montjuic and enjoy the views and walks. Perhaps you’ll choose to visit one of the many markets or museums in the city, stopping for refreshments in one of the numerous bars and restaurants by the port or at La Boqueria, the famous food market off Las Ramblas. You will have a guided transfer back to your hotel this evening.

Today is completely free for you to unwind at our Costa Brava hotel, just outside Barcelona. You can pick up some last-minute souvenirs in the local town, relax on the beach, or enjoy a coffee while watching the world go by at a waterfront cafe.
