I had been waiting to do Nepal for many years and the tour did not disappoint. The guides Bimel and Krishna were wonderful and made the time in Nepal memorable. They were exceptionally helpful when there were issues that occurred that had nothing to do with the actual tour itself. They did everything they could to ensure that everyone was enjoying their experience and made adjustments for those who needed it when possible. The only areas that I see that could use some work was the free time in Pokhara. It would be useful to have optional activities that could be pre-booked/planned for as we arrived and had no idea what to do other than go for a walk around the town. Suggesting cooking classes, hikes, or other activities would have been useful. Also, letting people know that many additional activities could not be paid in local currency would have been helpful. I could not pay for the Everest flight or Australian Base Camp with cash, and as a result had/have much more left over than I would have liked. Either way, I hope to return and spend more time exploring the beautiful country.”  

Akthar was very good. He was very helpful and had a nice manner about him. He was very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge in an appropriate manner. He was also fair, if we chose not to participate in an activity, he refunded us the entry fee.

Re the tour, thoroughly enjoyed it. The sightseeing activities had a nice mix about them. The standard of the hotels was good with the exception of one. Not a fault of OTG but alcohol, wine, is all imported and expensive and then has a 30% plus charge added on! Might be good to flag?

The hotel in Mirissa was poor. It was the Sri Lankan new year, but the room was dirty, blood on dressing table stool and curtains, water was not hot and WiFi was very weak.

Also fee and tipping money in the trip notes needs to be updated, as it appears everything has gone up. We had a mix of LKRs and US Dollars but totally amount was requested in LKRs.

Whale watching was poorly supported by the group but we had to wait while 2 of the party went out on the boats and saw only Dolphins, price has increased substantially. Galle Fort appears to be a better option.

But all in all a very enjoyable tour, looking forward to China, once the visas are sorted!!”
