Visa Procurement
Please be advised that visa requirements are subject to change and that visa procurement is the responsibility of the traveler and not On The Go Tours. Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned date of departure from Nepal.
After booking your holiday, please provide us with your passport details as soon as possible so that we can book domestic flights tickets and organize your trekking permit, if included within the tour.
Most nationalities require a visa for Nepal. It is possible for UK, EEC, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian, South African and USA passport holders to obtain a visa upon arrival. However, in the event of visa refusal at port of entry On The Go will not be held responsible.
In order to avoid long queues and unnecessary problems at Kathmandu Airport, it is now possible to complete an Online Visa Application form within 15 days of travel. The application is only valid for 15 days so do not complete the form any earlier than this.
Visit the Nepal Department of Immigration to complete your application.
To complete the application you will need:
1. Your passport details
2. A recent digital passport photograph (size: 1.5” x 1.5”) to upload
3. Information:
a. Your permanent residence address, land-line and mobile number and your email address
b. Hotel name, address and tel in Nepal- this will be on your tour voucher
Once the application is successfully submitted, a receipt will be sent to your email immediately. Print the receipt and keep it with you as you need to show it to the Immigration Authority in Nepal when you pay the visa fee in cash. The receipt also details any documents you need to produce for the Immigration Authority.
A single entry 15 day Nepal tourist visa costs USD$30, a 30 day visa costs $50 and a 90 day visa costs $125. Subject to change.
Please refer to the Royal Nepalese Embassy website for the latest visa costs and information.
