VISA PROCUREMENT
Please be advised that visa requirements are subject to change and that visa procurement is the responsibility of the traveler and not On The Go Tours. Please also ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your planned date of departure from South America and that you have enough blank pages in your passport for all of the visas you require and one or two spare pages.
The majority of visas in South America can be obtained on arrival, however, it is essential that you check the visa requirements of every country you will be visiting with the local embassy, consulate or a reputable visa handling company for the most up to date visa information before you travel.
Argentina Visa Requirements
UK, South African and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry into Argentina.
Australian, US and Canadian passport holders do not require a visa but are required to pay a reciprocal fee to enter Argentina. This fee must be paid for prior to travel, it cannot be paid at the airport.

Bolivia Visa Requirements
Departure Tax: Please note there is a USD $25 departure tax when leaving Bolivia. This is sometimes included in the airfare. Please check with your airline before departure.
Bolivia entry/exit requirements: Your passport must contain a Bolivia entry stamp, without this you’ll have to pay a fine when you leave the country. If you enter Bolivia overland ensure that your passport is stamped on both sides of the border, with an exit stamp from the country you are leaving and an entry stamp on the Bolivian side.
UK passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days and CAN, AUS and NZ passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
US and South African passport holders do require a visa. US travelers can visit Visa HQ for more information. At present there is no website for the Honoury Bolivian Consulate in South Africa. Please contact a Visa Agency for more details on how to obtain a visa.
Brazil Visa Requirements
UK, South African and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry into Brazil for stays of up to 90 days.
From 10 January 2024 USA, Canadian and Australian passport holder will require a Brazil e-Visa to enter the country. The average processing time for an e-Visa application is typically 5 working days. We strongly advise applying for the e-Visa at least 45 days before the planned travel to Brazil.
Chile Visa Requirements
UK, US, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry to Chile.
Canadian and Australian passport holders are required to pay a reciprocal fee at the airport Chile. Please contact your local embassy for current costs.
Colombia Visa Requirements
UK, US, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry into Colombia for stays of up to 90 days. Visas can be easily extended for an additional 90 days for a fee of around US$50.

Ecuador Visa Requirements
UK, US, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry into Ecuador.
Departure Tax: Please note there is a USD $25 departure tax when leaving Ecuador.
Peru Visa Requirements
UK, US, Canadian, South African, Australian and New Zealand passport holders do not require a visa for entry into Peru for stays of up to 90 days.
