A former capital of Spain and today known as the 'City of Three Cultures', it's a vibrant place to explore. We have serval hours here - perhaps you'd like to explore the Jewish Quarter, admire the Cathedral, grab some lunch at a local restaurant or try some of Toledo's famous marzipan.
Continuing through the Castilla-La-Mancha region, we can admire the views of rolling hills and mountains, vineyards and windmills before arriving in Cordoba, our base for the night.

Day 2 Fortaleza de la Mota & the Alhambra
Cordoba - Fortaleza de la Mota - Granada - Cordoba. Heading out from Cordoba after breakfast, our first stop today is the fortress of Fortaleza de la Mota. Dating back to the Middle Ages, this sprawling fortress looks more like a city, with towering walls and church towers. Entrance is included and there is time to explore before we make our way to Granada.
Step back in time as we wander the Old Town of Granada, then head to the mighty Alhambra. This famous 13th century palace and fortress is one of the best-preserved examples of early Islamic architecture anywhere in the world, as well as being home to important Spanish Renaissance architecture. We'll tour Alhambra with audio guides, and there's free time for you to further explore at leisure before we return to Cordoba.
Day 3 Exploring Seville
Day 3 Exploring Seville
Cordoba - Seville - Carmona - Cordoba. Today we enjoy a day trip to one of Spain's most endearing destinations and a popular city break haunt: Seville. How you spend your day in the city is completely up to you. Explore the stunning Plaza de Espana on foot or sit back in a local tapas bar with a jug of Sangria - we won't judge! Other highlights of Seville include the Cathedral, and you could also take a stroll along the banks of the Guadalquivir to admire the iconic Torre del Oro, a military tower dating back to the 13th century.
Leaving Seville, we enjoy a quick stop in the historic town of Carmona, before returning to Cordona for our final evening.
Day 4 La Mezquita
Day 4 La Mezquita
Cordoba - Madrid. We haven't forgotten to show you around Cordoba, and that is how we will be spending our last day in Spain. We enjoy an included visit to UNESCO-listed La Mezquita, a historic mosque that has also served as a place of worship for Christians in its long history. After our tour, you'll then have free time to take in any further sites you have missed in Cordoba. We then leave the city for the final time, visiting the 10th century castle of Castillo de Consuegra. Overlooking a range of windmills and perched precariously on a ridge, it's a great final stop of our journey! Arriving back in Madrid, our tour ends.
