Day 1 Zion National Park
Day 1 Zion National Park
Las Vegas - Zion National Park - Page. Our tour begins with pick up from the Palms Casino coach loading curb in Las Vegas (address in Trip Notes) at 7:15 am (unless otherwise specified in your tour documentation).
We head straight out of Nevada's Sin City and towards Zion National Park. Cut by the Virgin River, this reserve is one of Utah's Mighty Five and is dominated by an impressive mix of white, pink and red Navajo sandstone cliffs. We will have time for hiking in the park. You could stroll around the Emerald Pools Trail, take in the Temple of Sinawaya or admire Weeping Rock. Visit the interpretive Human History Museum, where you can enjoy an entertaining ranger’s talk on the patio. After a day spent exploring the park, we head to our accomodation in Page, near the shore of Lake Powell.
Please note: This tour has a flexible itinerary, and the below is a general guide of what you can expect on tour. Your tour guide may alter certain night stops to maximize your enjoyment; maybe you opt to visit a local event or stay longer in a certain place. The beauty of a small group tour is that the itinerary can also be adapted to suit the group’s preference! We encourage you to relax and go with the flow!
Day 2 Monument Valley & Horseshoe Bend
Day 2 Monument Valley & Horseshoe Bend
Page - Antelope Canyon - Monument Valley - Horseshoe Bend - Page. As we pass Lake Powell, there is an optional stop to visit Antelope Canyon, for an additional fee. This is one of the world's most photographed slot canyons. Located near Page, Arizona, this natural wonder features narrow passageways with smooth, wave-like walls shaped by centuries of water and wind erosion. After our stop at Antelope Canyon, we weave through more of the Southwest’s stunning scenery to reach one of the most iconic locations on the planet, Monument Valley.
This iconic landscape has provided the backdrop for many Western movies and is home to the Navajo Indians. We enjoy an included 4X4 jeep safari headed deep into this incredible landscape.
After our tour, we enjoy a walk to see Horseshoe Bend, where the Colorado River dramatically curves around a stunning rock formation, creating one of the most breathtaking views in the Southwest. Then it's back to our accommodation in Page, on the tranquil shores of Lake Powell.
Day 3 The Grand Canyon
Day 3 The Grand Canyon
Page - Grand Canyon National Park - Las Vegas. This morning, we enjoy a brief visit to a traditional Navajo trading post, before following the Colorado River through the Painted Desert. Reaching Grand Canyon National Park, we will take in one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and one of the world's most famous destinations. You could join an optional helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, or enjoy a scenic hike along the rim. There are also plenty of cafes from which to admire the view.
It's then time to return to Las Vegas. We make a brief stop at one of the towns along the iconic Route 66 on the way, aiming to arrive back in Las Vegas between approximately 7-8 PM.
