Day 1 Rovaniemi
Day 1 Rovaniemi
Welcome to Finland, an exciting adventure in Lapland awaits you. Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. You might wish to head outside this evening in an attempt to spot the elusive but dazzling Northern Lights, being close to the arctic circle gives you a great chance of spotting them, provided the weather is clear and the conditions are right.

We head out on a exciting journey today as we start with a visit to a husky farm before being whisked away on sleighs pulled by our furry friends. Making our way across the pristine winter forest close to the Arctic Circle, each sled will have 2 riders who will take it in turns to control the reins. Passing through beautiful scenery we'll witness the power of these incredible animals before we return to their home where we have the opportunity to learn more about the life of a husky and enjoy a hot drink to warm us up.
This evening we'll head out of town to a secluded spot offering us the best open sky vision to enjoy a Lappish picnic hopefully under the Auroras. Our location on the Arctic Circle gives us the best possibilities to see them.

Today is spent at your own leisure with no included activities to do as much or as little as you like.
Why not consider a journey Along the Reindeer Path an authentic reindeer safari! Sit comfortably in a sleigh and lay back, take photos of the nature around you, and listen to the sounds of the reindeer caravan. (please note this activity only operates on certain days of the week)
Or consider an optional and exhilarating Full Day Snowmobile Safari into the Wilderness through the wilds of Lapland today. (please note this activity only operates on certain days of the week) Jump on snowmobiles and take off into the Arctic wilderness. Your guide will lead the way as you pass frozen trees and head down tracks which bring you to some of the incredible natural landscapes of this region. Stopping for lunch, you can expect a delicious warming soup prepared by an open fire. With a bit of luck and the right weather conditions we'll get the change to drive across pure, untouched powder snow.
This evening there is an optional excursion for Aurora Ice Floating, where, after getting wrapped up in a thick dry suit, you'll ease in and enjoy a relaxing float. Whilst it might sound a little different, the high quality rescue suit will keep off the cold and let your mind rest as you relax under the nights sky. Hopefully we will witness a mystical display from the Northern Lights.
Day 4 Glass Igloo

Today is spent at your own leisure with no included activities to do as much or as little as you like. Later today you'll be transferred to your special overnight spot this evening, a glass igloo with fantastic views of the sky above. Before you settle into your cosy surroundings you'll enjoy a sumptuous 3 course dinner.
Day 5 Rovaniemi

A shuttle bus transfer is offered from the hotel at 7:00, 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 and 13:30 back to Rovaniemi Airport today. If you would like a departure transfer at any other time or a transfer with post tour accommodation this can be arranged for an additional cost, please enquire.

Set in the heart of Rovaniemi - the official hometown of Santa Claus, this 4 star hotel is conveniently located for Arctic adventures, entertainment and visits to Santa Claus Village, which is just a 10 minute drive away. Guest rooms are spacious and equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. All rooms offer en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, TV, a minibar, ironing facilities, a kettle and hair dryer. Most rooms are equipped with a twin beds and a sofa which can be made into an extra bed. Guests can enjoy tasty Finnish cuisine and Lapland specialities at Restaurant Gaissa and Bar & Grill ZoomUp, while light snacks and drinks are available at Café & Bar Zoomit which is open until late. In a field surrounded by pine trees sit the magnificent glass igloos of the the Snow Hotel. These cosy pods are complete with comfortable beds and en suite facilities. If the night sky is clear and conditions are right then a breathtaking display of northern lights can be seen. What is really special about these igloos is that they are complete with an aurora alarm which can be set to wake you up if they appear in the night sky when you are sleeping.
Located right in the centre of Rovaniemi, this family-owned hotel is just a few kilometres from the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus Village. Each guestroom is well-equipped with a minibar, TV and free WiFi access. There’s an impressive buffet breakfast to start your day with, and a choice of two restaurants for lunch or dinner. On the top floor you’ll also find two saunas and a cosy lounge with a fireplace, the perfect spot to warm up after a day of wintertime activities.

Full Day Snowmobile Safari into the Wilderness
If snowmobiling is the highlight of your journey in Lapland, this safari is made for you! Our guide will lead us to less-used tracks in the backwoods, tracks that lead us to stunning natural sights which cannot be reached during the shorter excursions. Stop for a lunch break in the wilderness while our guide prepares us a delicious Lappish lunch by the open fire. Depending on the snow conditions we might have a chance to try something which every snowmobile driver dreams of, driving on pure, un-touched, powder snow!
Aurora Ice Floating Rovaniemi
Dip yourself into a frozen lake for an amazing, relaxing and unique experience! If the weather is clear we'll get to see beautiful stars and may even get to marvel at the magnificent Northern Lights dancing across the nights sky. This guided tour provides you with a high-quality rescue suit that covers your whole body and keeps you dry. As you have your own clothing under the suit you will not get cold even in the open 0-degree water. Lying down in the ice hole between the ice blocks is something worth trying and the circumstances are truly arctic! After you make your way out of the lake you'll enjoy a hot drink and biscuits around a warming fire.
Along the Reindeer Path 1 hour safari
Join us on our favourite day to an authentic 1-hour reindeer safari! Sit comfortably in a sleigh and lay back, take photos of the nature around you, and listen to the sounds of the reindeer caravan. Reindeer herder has prepared us coffee with a cinnamon bun on a campfire and he shares his life story with the reindeer.
