Flying to Laos from New Zealand:
The average flight time between New Zealand and Laos is around 20 hours with at least one transit stop en route though most airlines make two stops. The principal international gateway to Laos is the capital city of Vientiane and several airlines fly the route via Asia. One of the quickest options from Auckland is Malaysia Airlines via Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok in conjunction with Thai Airways. If you prefer fewer transit stops then Singapore Airlines via Singapore is the best option. From Christchurch the fastest flight time is offered by Qantas via Sydney and Bangkok, also in conjunction with Thai Airways.
