Welcome to the largest of Spain's Canary Islands. You will arrive at either Tenerife North or Tenerife South airports. From here, make your own way to our hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. On arrival, the rest of today is at leisure to settle in. There is an included welcome dinner at the hotel tonight.

This morning, meet our guide for a brief information session at the hotel reception. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and settle in at the hotel. You might like to take a relaxed walk around Puerto de la Cruz, where you’ll find plenty of charming bars, restaurants, and cafes. Alternatively, you could head over to Playa Jardin, a striking black sand beach formed by Tenerife’s volcanic landscape. The day is completely yours to explore at your own pace!

Puerto de la Cruz - Santa Cruz - Puerto de la Cruz. Today, we’ll embark on a half-day guided excursion to Santa Cruz. The morning is free for you to enjoy at your own pace before we set off for the renowned seaport, one of Spain’s busiest and the joint capital of the Canary Islands. Afterwards, we’ll continue to La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, we’ll explore its magnificent cathedral and admire the beautifully preserved colonial architecture of the historic city. Then, it's back to Puerto de la Cruz.

Puerto de la Cruz - Icod de los Vinos - Playa de las Americas - Candelaria - Puerto de la Cruz. This morning, we’ll set off on a full-day guided tour around the island. Our first stop is the charming village of Icod de los Vinos on the west coast, renowned for the iconic Canary Islands Dragon Tree, a subtropical plant that serves as Tenerife’s natural emblem. We’ll then continue to Playa de las Americas, where you’ll have some free time to explore, with stunning views along the way.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Basilica de Candelaria to see the revered statue of the Black Madonna, as well as the striking bronze statues of the Guanches, the original inhabitants of the Canary Islands. Though the Guanches are no longer recognised as a distinct ethnic group, their cultural legacy still endures.

Take full advantage of your relaxing holiday in Tenerife with a day entirely at your leisure. Why not spend some time unwinding on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the gentle sound of the waves? You could sip a coffee at a beachfront cafe and watch the world go by. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you might explore attractions beyond the town centre, such as the beautiful botanical gardens, home to a wide variety of tropical and subtropical plants, trees, and flowers. The choice is yours!

Puerto de la Cruz - Mount Teide National Park - Puerto de la Cruz. Today, we’ll explore one of Tenerife’s most remarkable natural wonders with a half-day guided tour to Mount Teide National Park. Dominated by Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, this volcanic landscape is a must-see for anyone visiting the island. Along the way, we’ll pass through the lush La Orotava Valley, where the unique soil, shaped by ancient lava flows, supports some incredibly rare plant species.
As we enter Mount Teide National Park, you’ll be greeted by a stunning lunar-like landscape, filled with fascinating rock formations, hidden caves, and vibrant volcanic colours. We’ll pause at the foot of Mount Teide for a closer look at this impressive peak before heading back to our hotel.
Please note: Altitude sickness is uncommon below 2,400 metres, but if you have any concerns, do let your guide know, and they will be happy to assist with alternative arrangements.
Day 7 Tenerife leisure day

Your final full day in Tenerife is at leisure. You can hit the beach, or explore one of the island's main attractions. There's the Siam Park water park, or Loro Parque, one of the largest and most modern zoos in the world.

Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before check out. We wish you a safe onwards journey!
